St. Xavier students leave for Dharamshala trekking

JAMMU, June 05:
The second group of Tawi Trekkers J&K, comprising 46 students including 21 girls, of St. Xavier Convent Senior Secodary School, Barnai, near here today left to participate in the Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized under the chairmanship of Anil Goswami, former Home Secretary, Government of India.
The group being led by Souravdeep Singh, a trained mountaineer of Tawi Trekkers and Suksham, a senior trekker also includes three teachers of the school, Susal Danish, Vanessa Jenny and Sukanshi Sharma.
Earlier, the group was flagged off by Administrator of the School, Mridhu Padha in the presence of president of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria, staff of the school and a large number of parents of the students.
Meanwhile the first group of trekkers of Oriental Academy has reached back after a memorable experience of trekking in the mighty Dhauladhars and a learning experience of visit to a sprawling tea garden a tea manufacturing company where they learnt the complete process of production of tea.
