Stadium XI today qualified for the final of district Kathua tournament for the JKCA
Premier Cricket Championship, organised at the district organising committee of JKCA at Sports Stadium, Kathua. In the second semifinal, decided today Stadium XI made it a big 89 runs win against Shivam XI. Batting first, Stadium XI set a target of 191 runs losing all their wickets in allotted 30 overs. Nihal remained top scorer with 44-ball 50 runs while Arvind contributed 40. Mayank and Kewalpreet Singh added 24 and 22 runs respectively. From Shivam XI, Vikram clinched four wickets while Shubham took two. In reply, Shivam XI could attain the goal and conceded defeat when the side was struggling at 101 for nine in 18 overs. Shivam and Avinash were main scorers with 33 and 23 runs respectively. From
Stadium XI, Vansh claimed three wickets, followed by Kawalpreet and Abhimandan, who shared two each. Nihal was later adjudged man of the match. RAJOURI: Manhas Cricket Club today made it a one-wicket win against Nowshera (Lam) Cricket Club in the district tournament for Rajouri underway at District Police Lines ground, here. Earlier, Manhas Club won the toss and opted to field. Batting first, Nowshera scored 211 runs for nine in given 30overs. Kashish Kapoor played fine innings of 47 runs while Mukesh Sharma contributed 37. PankajThakur (27 not out), Buhinder Singh (24) and Ashok Kumar (21) were other main scorers. FromManhas Club, Faraz Ahmed clinched four wickets and Ishtiaq Ahmed took two. Batting second, Manhas Club clinched the thriller overhauling the opponent total in the second last delivery of the innings that too with last man of the wicket. Anuj remained top scorer with 48-ball 64 runs while Waqas Ahmed added unbeaten 31 and Reyaz Qazi and Sahil Ahmed contributed 29 and 25 runs respectively. four and three wickets respectively. Anju was named man of the match for his match winning knock of 64 runs.
POONCH: In a match played at Sport Stadium Poonch, Peer Panchal Cricket Club trounced PP Tigersby 17 runs. Batting first, Peer Panchal made 118 runs for five in allotted 20 overs, which, in reply, PP Tigers could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 101 runs in 17.4 overs. Meanwhile, in another match played at the same venue, YCC defeated Seri Cricket Club by six wickets. Batting first, Seri Club scored 139 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs a side game. In reply, YCC attained the goal making 141 runs for four in 14.4 overs.
UDHAMPUR: Meanwhile, in the district Udhampur tournament, UCC-Blues registered a huge 121 runs victory against Ramnagar Criket Club. Batting first, UCC Blues set a target of 185 runs in 30 overs, which, in reply, Ramnagar could not chase. The whole side bundled out for just 64 runs in 16.2 overs.
