JAMMU, Oct 04:
State athletics team, comprising four women and 25 men athletes, today left for participation in the two-day 30th North Zone Junior Athletics Championship to be held at Haryana from October six.
Earlier, the selected team members underwent screening conducted Manager, MA Stadium, Ashok Singh at Play field, Shastri Nagar, here.
Also present were Suneel Mahajan (president J&K Athletics Association), Sharat Chander Singh (general secretary), Sarwant Singh Gill (associate secretary) and Vinod Bhatia (joint secretary).
Gurcharan Singh is accompanying the team as manager-cum-coach for men’s team while Mandeep Kour accompanied as manager-cum coach of the women’s team.
The team is sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council.
