JAMMU, Oct 17:
The 30th J&K State Junior (boys and girls) Volleyball Championship, organised by Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council, at Polo Ground here from October 22.
In this three-day annual mega event 17 teams, from as many districts of the state, in boys section and 14 teams in girls’ category shall compete for the top honours. The expected participating teams are Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, Samba Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora and Leh.
“Four courts have been set up for the smooth conduct of the competition which will witness 60 matches on league cum knock out basis.
Around 400 players and officials are likely to participate in this three-day event.
