In a strong show of solidarity and public outrage, Hari Singh Chib, Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) and incharge District President Jammu Rural, led a solemn candle march near Janipur Police Station in the Jammu North Assembly segment to protest the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which targeted innocent tourists. The march was attended by local residents, Congress workers, and prominent social figures, all united in condemning the brutal act and expressing unwavering support for the victims and their families.
While paying tributes to the victims of militants, Hari Singh Chib has strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, targeting innocent tourists. He expressed deep anguish and outrage over the incident, calling it a deliberate attempt to disrupt peace and instill fear among the people. “This heinous act against unarmed and innocent tourists is not just an attack on individuals, but an assault on the spirit of Kashmiriyat, which stands for hospitality, peace, and harmony,” he said.
The senior Congress leader extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Chib further urged the administration and security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice swiftly and that all necessary steps are taken to prevent such incidents in the future. “The safety and security of every citizen and visitor must be the top priority,” he added.
The senior Congress leader called upon the Government to take immediate and uncompromising action against those responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack as whole India is one for crushing millitancy.
Hari Singh Chib also appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stand united in this hour of grief and resist any attempt to divide society through violence and fear.
