SC/ST/OBC,s today gathered all over the districts in the state and protested for immediate implementation of Presidential Orders on Promotion to the State employees which has been consented by Mahameem President since 1st March. 2019, enhancement of Reservation from 2% to 27% for OBC and clearance of pending backlog of 1 lac posts of SC, ST & OBC youth before launching of code of conduct over the state.The All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations along with their supporters organized a massive protest at Jammu in the support of their demands at Press Club Jammu and large numbers participated.
R K Kalsotra, State President Confederation raised the issue about non seriousness of State Administration for delaying the implementation of Promotion orders in favor of our employees which needs to be implemented immediately before imposition of Code of Conduct in the State.Mohd Shafi Bajjad, I/C Protest for Jammu District said immediately implement Mandal Commission report and enhance 27 percent reservation for the deprived OBC population of the state. He stressed upon the Government to revisit Reservation policy of the State and before implementing 10% Reservation to General, first enhance OBC Reservation and also demanded OBC certificate instead of OSC. Ashwani Bhagat, Coordinator, National SC/ST/OBC Students and Youths Front (NSOSYF) said that many times we put forth the demand of SC, ST, OBC youth for filling pending backlog of 1 lac & advised the Government to act upon our demands before imposition of Code of Conduct in the State .
Finally, threatened to hold Maharally on 17 March at Jammu if their demands are not met out wherein our all units of Districts, Tehsils will participate. Our movement will continue to expose the Government if they failure to provide justice to SC, ST & OBCs. They also submitted Memorandum of Demands to Hon’ble Governor.
