JAMMU, Nov 26:
Earlier postponed due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the J&K Kho-Kho Association shall now hold selection trials for the Sub-Junior National Championship on November 28 and November 29 at Green Play Fields, here.
The National Championship is scheduled to be held at Rudrapur in Uttrakahand from December 15 to December 19, a handout issued by the Association here today informed.
The Association has advised all the district units to send their best players for the selection process. The eligibility for boys and girls is under 14 yrs of age (born on or after December 20), the handout added.
Meanwhile, J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) conducted screening for the selected teams heading for
38th Junior Nationals scheduled to be held at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
The screening was conducted by Chief Sports Officer (CSO) of the JKSSC, Abdul Qayoom and Sporst Officer, Ravi Singh in the presence of Association president, Manmeent Singh, general secretary, Harjeet Singh and senior vice president, BS Tirthi. Also present were, Ajay Gupta, Dhiraj Sharma (Kho Kho coaches) and Dalbir Mehta.
The selected team shall represent J&K in the Junior Nationals scheduled to be held from December two to December six.
