Surrender Policy for Militants, Amnesty for Stone Pelters suicidal move by BJP-PDP Govt: Sham

Sr Vice President J&K PCC and Former Minister Sh Sham Lal expressed his concern over granting of amnesty to stone pelters and rehabilitation of surrendered militants. He expressed his anguish over the pelting Of stones on tourists & school busses resulting in death of one of the tourists.
He further said that the possibility of these stone pelters could be of those whom the amnesty has been granted cannot be ruled out.
Termed it as suicidal move Sham said that granting the amnesty by BJP PDP government to these stone pelters has not helped in bringing normalcy in the valley instead it deteriorated further.
Sh Sham said that the present government has failed on all fronts to provide basic requirements to the people of State. Incentives as well as amnesty announced by PDP-BJP government for the stone pelters are responsible for the ongoing bloodshed and violence in the Kashmir Valley.
He expressed his surprise that the BJP which was in the forefront during Amarnath agitation, had promised a number of times, that cases of 2008 agitation would be withdrawn but after attaining power, BJP has forgotten such promises.
While as number of youth have been facing criminal cases for their alleged participation in the 2008 Amarnath agitation, traders and business community were also not compensated as per the promises repeatedly made by the self-styled “pro-Jammu” BJP.
Sham said that BJP Government in Centre & State has proved to be a failure both in internal security & external security.
He said that under BJP regime, country witnessed several terror attacks, including Dinanagar Gurduspur, BSF Convoy Udhampur, Airbase Pathankot, Army and CRPF Convoy at Srinagar and Pampore, Army Base URI, RR Camp Baramulla, Nagrota, Samba, Akhnoor and Army Camp Kupwara.
Dubbing PDP-BJP unholy alliance as ominous for the state of J&K, Sharma said that State is passing through a very crucial period due to failure of the present dispensation. He said that with every passing day BJP PDP regime is proving as non performing liability on the people of J&K.
He said that BJP has completely surrendered before its partner to play as second fiddle in the coalition to remain in power. “This is not a coalition but a collusion regime where the parties lack consensus on important issues,” he charged.
“Both the partners are whipping up passions to hide their failures and the ultimate sufferers are the people of the State”, he added.
Sham expressed his deep concern over the prevailing law and order situation in the state. He further said that though the valley was already in turmoil but some parts of Jammu region have also been affected because of wrong policies of present BJP PDP government.
He said that the Jammu region had been peaceful but the BJP PDP government is trying to create valley like situation in Jammu with a view to divide the sections of the people and divert their attention from the main issues which the government failed to resolve.
