The Block Development Office, Samwan,District Jammu launched a cleanliness drive by providing Shram Dhan at village Thangar in main Bazar Panchayat Halqa Pallanwala Upper , adjoining pond and area around the Block Head Quarter premises.
The Office administered the “Swachhta Hi Sewa” campaign in the presence of prominent persons like Ex Sarpanch, panchs ,Ex servicemen,Swachhata grahis, shop keepers,children,residents and all field functionaries of the block.
This drive will be celebrated from 15th September to 2nd October 2018.
On this ocassion, Ms Sona Gupta (KAS),BDO Samwan emphasised that cleanliness is the responsibility of all the stake holders. And this drive will bring results after it is celebrated as a continous social movement.
The initiatives and efforts of the staff members of the block office were appreciated by the residents of the area and pledge was taken to extend full support and cooperation in such social steps of the government.
