To infuse sense of awareness of clean India an all India NCC Cycle Rally under the Banner of Swachhta Pakhwada Pan India Cycle Rally Commenced by the NCC Cadets across the country. NCC Directorate J&K Rally commenced on 18 Sep from Army Public School Jammu Cantt. The cycle rally will pass through Punjab, and Haryana and will culminate on 28 Sep at New Delhi.
No matter what the age of person be its all about zeal, adventure, thrill and ones passion. To instill confidence among cadets, Major General Naveen Kumar Airy Additional Director General of National Cadets Corps, J&K Directorate, he himself took initiative to ride the bicycle along cadets.
Col Dharmendra Pandey, Commanding Officer of 1 J&K Armoured Squadron NCC the organizer of the NCC cycle Rally. He emphasized that National Cadets Corps is a prime powerhouse which churns out quality individual for the service of our nation. The journey begins with an initiative to become a level apart, by volunteering for NCC. The first fall in, where one is introduced with the traditions of NCC this paves the way for a flood of inspiration. A person realizing that he is a Cadet who wears a uniform, takes immense pride in it.
The realization of wearing a uniform with such rich history is revolutionizing at a psychological level. The physical training session helps to build a high level of endurance and as well as build the morale of doing a task together as a unit rather than individually. The intimidating obstacle course, more or less represents life. Here, one learns to overcome those obstacles with courage rather than backing off when seeing a problem in any arena of life. The turn-out and bearing of a Cadet is of prime importance. The regular uniform inspections make sure that the Cadet is maintaining a smart outlook which indirectly reflects his sense of confidence. Drill is the bedrock of discipline. Here one learns to obey as well as give orders. The perfect sync of boots stamping, enhances team work and co-ordination. A sense of responsibility is also instilled in the Cadets by assigning ranks and responsibilities.
They learn the value of being accountable at a very young age. Camp and adventure activities are a bundle of power-packed experience. This enables cadets to encompass opportunities where they might even get to represent their nation abroad as Goodwill Ambassadors. Various cultural activities in NCC develops a deep understanding of rich culture of our nation. National Integration is a everyday process at NCC. The interaction among cadets from different regions increases the level of bonding towards one another and promotes communal harmony.
The values and morale imbibed in NCC over the period of three years is transformational indeed. It transforms you from a student to a Cadet by challenging you at every step and making you better every time. NCC, hence is one the most vital organization of our nation empowering nation-building from grass-root level.
The cadets enroute will interact with locals and School, College students and spread the awareness of Swachhta Pakhwada (Clean India) and culminate at New Delhi on 28 Sep 2019.
