Symposium on Drug de-addiction held at Akhnoor

JAMMU, MAY 25:  Anamika Sharma, a student of class 9th was declared as best speaker at a symposium contest on the topic, “ Drug de-addiction”, organized by Cultural Wing Department  of Information  &Public  Relations,  Jammu  today here at  GHS,  Dhok Khalsa.

    Headmaster of the host school, Joginder Singh was the chief guest. He called upon the students to spread the message of drug de- addiction among the masses.  He thanked DIPR for organizing an impressive programme in the school to aware the students and locals.

    Kajal Devi of Class 9 and Shivali Sharma of class 10  were adjudged second and third, respectively.

    Over 08 students participated in the programme and deliberated upon the various facets of drug de-addiction.

   Later, the participants were awarded prizes by the chief guest.

 During the contest,   Kuldeep Singh,   Nirmal Kumari and   Pawan Kumar acted as judges while   Suresh Kumar conducted the proceedings of the programme.

 On the occasion,   Artists of Cultural Wing and Students of the host school presented a scintillating cultural programme and skit based on drug de- addiction and rich folk culture which highly applauded by the audience.
