With films such as ‘Badla’ and ‘Game Over’, Taapsee Pannu is having a time of her life. Her star seems to be on the rise continuously, as she has projects such as ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Tadka’, and ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ lined up this year. However, it was not her outstanding body of work but her out of context words that made the headlines. The actress got into hot waters with her `double filter` comment about Kangana Ranaut. This fully blown exchange of words started with Taapsee breezily mentioning about Kangana’s need to get a `double filter` for the latter often finds herself at odds due to her outspoken nature and brutal honesty. This was a completely innocent tongue and cheek, from one contemporary to another. However, Kangana’s sister and spokesperson Rangoli Chandel took it as indignation. Chandel took no time in slamming Taapsee all over social media, angry tweeting, `Kuch log Kangana ko copy kar ke he apni dukan chalate , magar pls note they never acknowledge her, not even a mention of her name in praising the trailer. Last I heard, Taapsee ji said Kangana needs a double filter, and Tapsee ji you need to stop being a sasti copy.` In spite of such slander, Taapsee seems to have maintained her composure. However, she has strongly maintained that she does plan on apologizing for her comment. Stating her indifference to Rangoli’s tweet, she states that she isn’t affected by what internet trolls or even real people talk about her on a virtual space. In an attempt to simplify things for a certain audience, Taapsee explained saying, `One needs a filter when she does not have any pretension, and no filter between their mind and their mouth. I do not see this is as a derogatory comment.
