While addressing a series of public grievance redressal camps during three-day tour of Udhampur district, at Gadseri, Dheeran, Baryalta, Dhan walt, Langa, KULWANTA, CHHATRIARI, MAJOURI, GANDH, BASANTGARH, KIRCHI, DUDU, JAKH ED, LATTI, MARO THI, SARAR, MAN TALAI, GAURIKUND, BASHT & Chenani, Mr Lal Chand, Chairman, DDC Udhampur and Mrs. Juhi Manhas Vice Chairperson DDC Udham pur called for greater focus on far-flung areas. The priority of administration should be its focus on hitherto neglected areas. They called for actualizing concept and vision of Pradhanmantri ji in these areas ensuring fullest implementation of the schemes of the central government in various far-flung and neglected areas of Ramnagar. They further asked for ensuring ‘Har ghar ko bijli, ‘har ghar ko jal’ in these areas.
They were accompanied by Member DDC Ramnagar-I Mr. Mool Raj, Member DDC Ghordi Mr. Rakesh Chander Sharma, Member DDC Latti, Pinkey Devi, Member DDC Chenani, Usha Devi, Puran Chand, District President, BJP Udhampur, PRIs as well as senior office bearers of the party and a wide galaxy of local leaders.
While taking stock of developmental issues, people projected macadamisation of roads, provision of staff and infrastructure in Health and educational institutions, timely supply of ration and civil supplies and greater focus and presence of officers in these areas. They also called for immediate site-selection for KV at Mantalai and settling stalemate regarding land for Degree College Dudu Basantgarh. Visiting leaders were apprehensive of slow pace on ‘Har ghar ko pani’. They called upon the executive officers as well as the district administration to embark on a mission mode in regard to this revolutionary scheme of the central government.. They further focused on framing of DPRs and settling priorities for PMGSY-III fresh roads and upgradation too and each and every developmental work in Udhampur while taking on board the elected representatives.
The visiting leaders further impressed upon the people that politics of religion, caste and creed has failed and ‘politics of development’ has flourished. It is a major paradigm shift by the voters of Udhampur that a few leaders have become frustrated and started giving out of vogue statements and outbursts just with a view to giving a vent to their frustration but fact remains that while they were enjoying power for decades and decades, they failed to change the development scenario of Ramnagar.
All negativist, misleading forces and propaganda have been defeated by the people of J and K in these DDC polls.
A new crop of leadership especially hailing from vulnerable/weaker sections of society- women, SCs, STs- have emerged. And the new leadership is ready to take on the basic issues confronting the people of J&K vis-à-vis act as a viable bridge between J&K and New-Delhi.
