Tamannaah Bhatia, known for her strong performances across multiple Indian film industries, recently reflected on her role as Avantika in Baahubali: The Beginning. The actress addressed long-standing discussions around a particular scene involving her and Prabhas’ character Shivudu, which has often been labelled as problematic by viewers. In a candid conversation at The Lallantop, Tamannaah shared her perspective on the intent behind the scene. Contrary to criticism that suggested elements of force, the actress clarified that the moment was crafted to depict Avantika’s emotional rediscovery after years of hardship.“Avantika was a woman who had built walls around herself,” Tamannaah explained, citing director SS Rajamouli’s vision of the character. “Shivudu wasn’t trying to overpower her, but rather help her reconnect with a softer, more vulnerable part of herself that had been lost.” She further added that the film aimed to portray this emotional shift as part of Avantika’s personal journey. Tamannaah is currently gearing up for an exciting slate of projects. She will be seen alongside Ajay Devgn in Ranger and stars opposite Sidharth Malhotra in the upcoming Vvan. She’s also part of No Entry 2 with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, as well as an untitled film featuring John Abraham.
