All Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Teachers Federation (affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtryia Shikshak Mahasangh organized one day “Teachers Conference” at Kishtwar today, where the delegates flays the state Govt. for its indifferent attitude against the teachers community in the state. Dev Raj Thakur, State President, AJKLTF inaugurated the Conference.
In the daylong session, speakers spoke on the present education scenario and the services conditions of the teaching community. The conference adopted several resolutions, which include transparent transfer policy stream line the salary of the teachers working under SSA/RAMS, remove pay anomalies etc.
Satya Bushan Sharma district Convener of AJKLTF Kishtwar read the welcome address and welcomed the chief guest, esteemed dignitaries, Teachers and educationists from different zones of Kishtwar District.
Devraj Thakur, State President in his address said, “The motive of the conference was to bring thinkers, teachers and educationists on a common platform to celebrate upon different challenges that stand in the way of effective implementation of the education policy and to think of ways and means to strengthen the system as a whole, thereby improving the quality education at different levels in J&K”
Thakur demanded a transparent/rational transfer policy should be framed and implemented transparently to make the system work efficiently. Lack of proper implementation of present transfer policy created the frustration among the teachers as well as RRET Teachers those who are serving in far flung areas of the state since long and they have lost all hopes and get frustrated due to favoritism in the department.
