Making shocking revelation that resignation of IAS officer Shah Faisal has not yet been accepted by the Government notwithstanding his floating a political party and openly campaigning for the same, Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal today demanded a high -level probe into the matter.
Addressing a hurriedly called press conference at Jammu on Monday, the Team Jammu chief disclosed that even after more than three and half month time, Shah Faisal’s resignation has not yet been accepted by the Government whereas the controversial IAS officer has taken a political plunge and also floated a party namely Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement.
“Shah Faisal tendered his resignation from Government services on January 9 this year and announced to join politics but his resignation has not yet been accepted for the reasons best known to the Governor’s administration whereas resignation of another IAS officer Farooq Shah was accepted within a week’s time,” he pointed out.
Similarly, he added, there are a number of instances when the Government employees were ousted from the services for even making a political comment whereas in the case of Shah Faisal, the Service rules were being thrown to winds. “If there were an elected Government in J&K, the blame for delaying acceptance of resignation could have been given to Kashmir centric approach of those at the help of affairs but all this is happening during the Governor’s rule here,” he exclaimed.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal alleged that the Government was adopting double yardsticks, one for those who believe in the system and another for the anarchists like Shah Faisal who hold India and Indian Security forces responsible for trouble in Kashmir but keep availing all benefits at the cost of State exchequer.
Smelling a deep rooted conspiracy in not accepting the resignation of Shah Faisal despite his plunge into active politics, the Team Jammu chief alleged that anti-India elements were still active at higher places of public office and trying to promote the trouble makers like Shah Faisal, who used to criticize the India even when he was in Government service.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal demanded a high level probe into the entire episode of Shah Faisal’s resignation and identify the persons, who are responsible for allowing him to continue in Government service with salary and other benefits despite his resignation more than two months back.
The Team Jammu chief further alleged that a nexus of Government employees was promoting Shah Faisal and actively participating in the political activities. In this connection, he displayed the photographs and videos of a Government teacher, posted at GGMS Binoon in Bunjwah region of Kishtwar district, who is campaigning for JKPM party and Shah Faisal.
Recalling that a few days ago, local Sarpanch and Panch had inspected the said school, which was found locked but Naib Tehsildar Bunjwah had backed all absentee teachers who are involved in political activities, Zorawar Singh Jamwal appealed DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana to act strictly against the erring employees.
The Team Jammu chief reiterated that people of Jammu will not tolerate any leniency towards the anti-nationals like Shah Faisal and his supporting Government employees, who are working day and night spreading venom against India but eating up the State exchequer at the same time. “Team Jammu will fight the anti-nationals tooth and nail for which we are ready to make any sacrifice,” Zorawar Singh Jamwal and exhorted people of Jammu to remain united for foiling the evil designs of those who want to weaken nationalist forces in J&K.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Rajesh Kapoor, Sunil Singh Rapuria, Akshay Gupta and Sanam Kotwal.
