UDHAMPUR, FEB 12:
A protest was organized by temporary teachers (contractual) Association at Gole Market Dabbar Chowk Udhampur in connection with their demands. Hundreds of teachers of Udhampur and Reasi District have participated the demonstration. They were raising slogans against State Government in connection with their demand of to continue their services. Speakers in the demonstration have disclosed that several MLA’s of present Assembly has given assurance for their continuation.
They also expressed that government has also given verbal assurance for continuation of their services but they have not received any written notification. The president of the Association Sawarndeep has demanded that a large number of unemployed youth were deputed by the State Government few years back on contractual basis but now
Government is going to stop contract reasons best known to the authorities concerned resulting unemployed youth is frustrated and their frustration will put them in direction less paths which is not good for the peaceful atmosphere of the State in the present turmoil.
The prominent among other Sudesh Thakur, Sushma Devi, Sunit Vikas, Renuka, Satpaul, Adrash and Rajinder were present in the demonstration.
