Tension flared in Jammu’s Mandal area this evening after three to four unidentified gunmen opened fire on local residents, causing widespread fear.Jammu travel guide
The incident happened around 6:30 Pm when the assailants, travelling in an Alto car, initially used sharp weapons to damage the windows of two parked vehicles near a Panchayat Ghar. Following the vandalism, the gunmen proceeded to fire three to four shots at three individuals—Arun Choudhary son of Janak Raj, Sachin Choudhary son of Ashok Kumar, and Monmohan son of Subash—while they were sitting near the Panchayat Ghar.
The attack further escalated the tense atmosphere in the area.
The local police have initiated an investigation to determine the attackers’ identities and the motives behind the firing.
