Amid spike in militancy incidents in Jammu region, former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said terrorism would not end unless there is understanding between the two nations.
Abdullah said the two countries- referring to India and Pakistan- should find solutions through dialogue.
“I have always told you terrorism is not going to end unless there is understanding between the two nations. Terrorism will continue and we have to face it. Tragedy is innocent people are killed. This is very unfortunate,” the NC

President told reporters here. He said that innocent people would die until a solution is found to this. On the killing of a CRPF jawan in Kathua encounter, Abdullah said many innocent people will die. “It will happen, unless we wake up and find a solution to this,” he said. On dialogue with Pakistan, Abdullah said the foreign minister himself had said only yesterday that with China, they have to continue dialogue and he mentioned Pakistan for the first time also.
“I hope they continue and they find a solution to it. We are ones who are facing tragedies. The innocent people of the state are facing tragedies and the reflection of this then happens in the rest of the country. I hope they realise that time has to come to end this,” he added.
