the security forces in the area. In another development, the officials said, army soldiers opened fire after observing suspicious movement near the LoC in the Keeri Battal area of the Akhnoor sector during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
It may be recalled that last week the representatives of India and Pakistan Armies had agreed to uphold the February 2021 ceasefire agreement and explore measures to prevent future misunderstandings.

Meanwhile, security forces had launched massive search operations in the Jammu region last week to tighten noose around the terrorists and General Officer Commanding White Knight Corps Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva had chaired a joint security review meeting with focus on maintaining peace in the province.
Search operations were conducted in response to the presence of terrorists in the region. “Searches will continue till the Jammu region is sanitized and made terror free,” the officials had said.
GOC Sachdeva while chairing a joint security review meeting in Jammu had directed the security forces to ensure that no one disrupts the peace and tranquility in the region
