Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Saturday said that the terrorists involved in 2019 Pulwama terror attack are neutralised. In recent past the security forces in J&K foiled a number of planned terror incidents effectively’, Mr Singh told media after paying tributes to the martyrs at National Police Memorial Chanakyapuri in New Delhi. He paid tributes to the policemen who laid down their lives while serving the nation. He informed that all the terrorists who directly or indirectly were involved in the Pulwama terror incident have been neutralized. The DGP added that JKP has in its own way contributed to this cause and will continue to do so and that J&K Police shall stand firm and committed to the sovereignty and integrity of our great country for all times to come. In recent month there has been surge in ceasefire violations as also in infiltration attempts’, he added and said, ‘our forces are making all efforts to minimize terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir and foil the evil designs of the elements bent to disrupt peace and order.’ The J&K Police chief also laid wreaths and paid tributes to the martyrs of the central and state police forces, who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Penning down his thoughts in visitors’ book the DGP wrote that it was an honour to be here today to pay tribute to over 35000 brave sons and daughters of this county who laid down their lives for integrity and security of Nation. The DGP then visited National Police museum and also interacted with the student from Ramban who are on Bharat Darshan Tour arranged by J&K Police. While interacting with the students, the DGP advised them to avail the opportunity to enrich their knowledge by visiting historical places and also the modern marvels of India. He advised the students to move out, meet people and see how much beautiful, diverse in fauna and flora and in culture our country is.
