The Business School Bhaderwah Campus from time to time organizes guest lectures for grooming the personality of the students so as to make them aware of the needs of the industry. The Business School recently organized a guest lecture by Prof. Subhendu Dey, Director, RSB Chennai on how IT industry is changing our life. In the same series of lectures The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus Organized a guest lecture on “Potential of Tourism in Bhaderwah” for the Students of BBA, B.Com (Hons), Msc. Geography and B. Ed.
Dr. R.K Khajuria Chief Executive Officer, Bhaderwah Development Authority was the resource person. The function started with the welcome address by Dr. Umesh Choudhary Sr. Assistant Professor and Head of Department.
Dr. R.K Khajuria started his speech with the introduction of basic components of tourism industry and various types of tourism like Eco tourism, Health Tourism, Herbal Tourism, Cultural Tourism, Pilgrimage tourism and adventure tourism etc. He further discussed the various initiatives taken by Bhaderwah Development Authority in the development of tourism in Bhaderwah. The BDA had recently organized a seven days special adventure trip for the local and people from all over the India to promote tourism in Bhaderwah. He motivated the students to stop using plastic bags and also encouraged them to start their own business units related to tourism. He assured the students that BDA will help them in starting their business units.
He also informed them that BDA is planning to bring some trainers to Bhaderwah for basic training courses related to tourism.
He encouraged the students to make a project related to tourism and submit the same to BDA through University Campus and they will help them in execution of their projects if project is feasible as per the required standards. BDA is also taking initiatives in the promotion of local products. Dr. Khajuria also interacted with the faculty members of Business School and discussed the future plans for jointly working for the promotion of tourism in Bhaderwah.
At last, the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Umesh Choudhary Head the Business School, Bhaderwah Campus. The lecture was also attended by Mr. Mohammed Avais, Ms. Princee Verma, Mr. Zaffar Husain, Mr. Amit, Ms. Jyoti Rathore and other faculty members of Bhaderwah Campus. The Guest lecture was organized under the guidance and direction of Professor G.M Bhat Rector Bhaderwah Campus.
