Actor Sandeep Anand is all charged up to restart his television journey, after a break due to the pandemic for nearly a year. The actor was last seen in a finite appearance in ‘Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari’. Later the actor was forced to spend his time sitting at home waiting for the pandemic to subside. Sandeep’s characters — Piddi in Sun Yaar Chill Maar, Billu in FIR, Sajan Agarwal in May I Come In Madam?’ and Puttan in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai! — remain memorable. “During the lockdown, more people watched the older comedy shows on digital platforms to make the atmosphere light at home. They were seeking relief from the pandemic-induced chaos outside. When the audiences revisited the shows, they recognized the dedication and years of hard work that I have put into these shows. We all worked hard on the shows and it’s paying off now till now” confessed Sandeep. Continuing the conversation Sandeep said “Lockdowns took away the momentum as the whole world stopped. In the beginning, it was very difficult – but I learned that you can always make something out of nothing. I could finally take my time, at my hometown Ujjain. I have worked on my body and the results are visible.” Sandeep is waiting for things to get better so that he can return to Mumbai. The actor was last seen essaying a full-fledged character in ‘May I Come in Madam’. All these years, he worked on several internationally recognized and awarded short film projects. Coming from a theatre background, Anand started acting at the age of seven. “There’s nothing in the world that I’d rather do, other than act, and be in front of the camera. I knew this before, but during this time, it has been so heavily reinforced for me. I have few projects lined up, which will be announced soon, and for which we should start shooting once things open up. I can’t wait to get back on a set where I have grown up over the last decade and a half. Can’t wait for that to happen again” says Sandeep excitedly as he concludes for the moment.
