Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai said on Sunday that today under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country is living with a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.

anti-infiltration operation at the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara on Sunday.
This comes amid a recent increase in terror attacks in Jammu division.
Five Army soldiers lost their lives and as many as were injured in an ambush by terrorists in Kathua district on July 8.
The attack is believed to be the latest in a series of terrorist incidents in the region, which have been attributed to attempts by Pakistan to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir.
The army personnel who lost their lives in the attack belonged to Uttarakhand. They are Rifleman Anuj Negi from Pauri, Nayab Subedar Anand Singh Rawat from Rudraprayag, Naik Vinod Singh from Tehri, Kamal Singh from Pauri and Adarsh Negi from Tehri.
Since June 9, there have been terror strikes at four places in Reasi, Kathua and Doda in which nine pilgrims and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan were killed. A civilian and at least seven security personnel were also injured.
On July 9, an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda.
In Kulgam attack, six terrorists were killed and 2 soldiers were killed during the encounter.
On June 9, the very day Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet were sworn in, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi, after which it fell down in the gorge, killing nine.
Congress also expressed its concern and asserted that whatever steps the government takes for the safety of the country, the party is ready to extend its support.
“Congress is seriously concerned about these attacks. Government is not taking it seriously. As the opposition, we want to draw their attention to these attacks. Whatever steps the government would take for the safety of the country, Congress is ready to extend support. All citizens have the same feeling that these terrorists must be given a reply in their own language,” Congress MP Deependar Hooda said.
