To spread awareness among military personnel to follow traffic rules, road etiquettes and avoid accidents while driving, a Road Traffic Awareness Workshop was conducted under the aegis of the Tiger Division in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police today.
Over 300 men in uniform and officers of Army underwent the one day event at Tiger Auditorium in Satwari Garrison which included a presentation on traffic rules, the Do’s and Don’ts, Safe Driving Tips and an interactive session with the audience on Traffic Signs using training aids. The success of the workshop could be gauged by the quantum of questions that were asked to the conducting team.
Safe driving has been of utmost importance for the formation which has the unique characteristic of being located around pockets with heavy traffic. Such workshops go a long way in inculcating good road safety habits and making our roads accident free with minimum non-operational casualties.
