Tiny Tots Hr Sec School Holds investiture Ceremony

JAMMU, Sept 20:
Tiny Tots Hr Sec School today held its annual Investiture ceremony in an impressive function held in the school Auditorium. The Chief guest for the day was Mr Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh of the School who recently won a bronze medal at the recently concluded 18th Asian Games held at Jakarta, Indonesia, making him the first ever person from Jammu and Kashmir to win a medal at the Asian Games. Surya Bhanu Pratap was also the Head Boy of Tiny Tots Hr Secondary School earlier. The chief guest was welcomed by the students showering flower petals on him. The ceremony started with lighting of the Lamp followed by a formal welcome by the Principal of the School Dr Vikram Handa and cake cutting by the guests. The Captain Body was announced by the Principal and the Head Boy and the Head Girl for the year were announced as Mr Ritik Singh Manhas and Ms Nishtha Patel for the year among a host of other Captains, Prefects and in-charges. The Head Boy and the Head Girl took a pledge to uphold the values of the school and to work tirelessly for the improvement of the school. The head boy of the school spoke about his plans for the school and how he would like to improve the school.
Surya Bhanu spoke about the memories of his school days and urged the students to take part in all the curricular activities but without neglecting their academics. He spoke to the students about his journey to winning the medal at the Asian Games and told the students that if they want to excel in any field they have to work extremely hard to achieve that and that there is no place for slackness.
Mrs Veena Handa , the Chairperson of the School congratulated the newly elected captain body of the school and also Bhanu Pratap on winning the medal at the School. She also asked the student to emulate Surya Bhanu Pratap and work hard towards achieving their dreams. Mrs Gurpreet the director of the school laid the importance of curricular activities in the school and said that the school life of students is incomplete if they do not take part in the activities organized by the school.
Towards the end Ms Jyoti presented a vote of thanks.
