As indefinite Chain hunger strike under the banner of Teachers’ Joint Action Committee ( TJAC ), which is an amalgam of various organizations of Teachers including J & K Teachers Forum, J&K ReT Forum , J & K SSA Forum etc is going on at Srinagar and Jammu.
The hunger strike at Srinagar is going on under the dynamic leadership of chairman TJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani and JKRTTF chairman Gazi Abdul Aziz , whereas the hunger strike at Jammu is going on under the dynamic leadership of State President JKRTTF Vinod Sharma and state General Secretary JKTF Ganesh Khajuria.
The indefinite hunger strike at Jammu entered 21st day whereas it entered 17th day at Srinagar but the government has not shown any sort of positive response regarding the implementation of 7th Pay Commission and delinking of SSA Salary till date thereby forcing the teachers to continue their stir.
In this regard TJAC leadership has decided to hold one day sit in protest cum hunger strike at Jantar Mantar ( Delhi) on September 24 , in support of their genuine issues and against the callous approach of the government to resolve these issues. This was decided by the TJAC leaders from both the provinces who announced that TJAC leadership will participate in this programme at Jantar Mantar New Delhi.
Meanwhile state leadership of RET teachers forum comprising Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Rajesh Jamwal, Gulz ubair daing, Najam jafri, Naresh Sharma , Mahesh Kumar and Raj Kumar dubey appealed the teachers to unite under the banner of TJAC and participate in on going hunger strike programs.
