While addressing the media Chairman All Indian Devotional Song Committee Rakesh Wazir said that Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition is organized jointly by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K Tourism in association with Shradha Mh One & J&K Bank with the active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Surya Milk ,Pure Roots Herbal,Nidesh Builders Pvt.Ltd.Jammu, Divinity, ,Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM ,PHDCCI,Yog Ashram Trust ,District Administration and the local host Community,under the overall supervision of Navratra Festival Committee headed by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu himself.
The Devotional Song Competition started 21 years back with the main aim to promote and provide platform to the singers from all over the India in the holy township of Katra/besides promotion of the tourism in J&K and this year Divisional Commissioner,Jammu ,Sanjeev Verma will be the Chief Guest on the occasion besides Parvez Dewan Former Advisor to Governor and the brain behind this competition, ,in addition to Sh.Ganesh Jain,Chairman cum Managing Director Venus Records & Tapes Ltd & maker of more than 45 movies Khiladi, Baazigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yes Boss, Badshah, Dhadkan, Hamraaz, and whose banner introduced faces like Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar etc., Ms.Pawani Pandey who has done play back singing for Raees,Barelley Ki Barfi, Wel Come Back, Phallouri, Blackmail etc. and is known for her famous songs like Laila Ho Laial Aisi Main Laila ( Shah Rukh starrer Raees) etc.,Mr.Balkar Sidhu famous Punjabi Singer ( Munda apne Vyah de Vich Nachda Phire )fame, ,Barkha Arora Vice President Zee Network has accepted to be the the Judges of the competition in the Final. The Mega Final will be held on 17th Oct.2017 and its live telecast will be available on Shardha Mh One, from 8.30 PM onwards besides its re-telecast on many more channels and the entry for this event will be free to all and besides the performances of the singers who have reached the finals.
The people will see the live performances of Pawni Panday & Balkar Sidhu also.
This All India Devotional Song Competition have contributed a lot to the state and have given platform to many Singers in the film industry including Himani Kapoor, Mool Raj, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Naveen Punjabi, Rajan Gill, Sonali Dogra,Sanjeet Kumar,Anjusha,VanshkiaJaral,Ms.Bawa etc. most of them including Himani Kapoor,Sonali Dogra,Anjusha,Ms.Bawaa later on after winning this competition won the major TV shows including Mh One Awaz Punjab Di,Zee TV Maga Challenge etc. and the songs of the films like Dil Diya Hai, Chingari, Oye Lucky Oye, Fool & Final, Bachna Ae Hasino and many Hindi and Punjabi films are sung by the winners of these competitions and these film industry people have contributed a lot to this All India Devotional Song Competition. 1st Prize of this competition is Gold worth Rs 3 Lakh besides recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and likewise the 2nd prize is gold worth 1 lac and the third prize is gold worth 50,000/- to be awarded on the day of finals.
Mr. Wazir said that if the programme of All India Devotional Song Competition has attained these heights, these film industry,Media and literary people had their great contribution in it,in addition to the contribution of Deptt.of Tourism,Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Shradha Mh one,and J&K Bank Ltd.
Mr. Wazir thanked the people and organizations associated with the event.
Whereas in the quarter final out of 14 participants who qualified for it through preliminary rounds of competitions, 08 participants qualified for the Semi Final including Malkit Kadri from Punjab , Kripal & RashPal Brothers From Punjab, Almast Sonu from Punjab, Khushi Shubh from Chamba H.P., Mohinder Soni from Jammu , Afroj Raj from Bihar, Lalit Bhardwaj from Jammu , Anmol Raja from Punjab and 01 contestant was kept in the waiting list namely Aditya Kumar from Jammu. These 08 winners will compete with the 1st position holders of daily preliminary round competitions in the Semi Final.
Amrinder Bobby famous play back singer known for hit songs like Chhalle Toh bee Jayengi , Rabba Sanu Pyaar etc. performed live on the occasion.
