Col Vikas Gautam, Commanding Officer 23 Infantry Division Signal Regiment bid adieu with rich tributes on his last journey at Shashtri Nagar Cremation ground, Jammu today. The officer who was 42 years old died of a sudden cardiac arrest in Ranchi on 18 Feb 2021.
His mortal remains were brought to his hometown, Jammu. The last rites were performed with full military honours in Jammu. Senior officials from Army and Civil Administraion of Jammu laid the wreath and paid tributes. The officer is survived by his wife and two children.
