The Trikuta Group of Colleges, Jammu, organized its 9th Blood Donation Camp to honor the memory of its Founder Chairman, Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma Ji, on his birth anniversary.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Sham Lal Sharma, Honourable MLA of Jammu North Assembly Constituency, whose esteemed presence added significance to the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of selfless service to society.
He lauded the Trikuta Group of Colleges and Shri Sain Charitable Trust for their consistent efforts in organizing such meaningful initiatives. Highlighting the critical role of blood donation in saving lives, Mr. Sharma urged the youth to actively participate in these humanitarian endeavors and become torchbearers of compassion and social responsibility.
Mr. Sharma also reminisced about the immense contributions of Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma Ji, praising his vision and dedication to the welfare of society. He highlighted how Dr. Sharma’s legacy continues to inspire others to work towards the betterment of humanity. Mr. Sharma commended the Trust for upholding these values and making a lasting impact through its social initiatives, especially in the field of healthcare and education.
The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with 80 volunteers from diverse groups, including teaching and non-teaching staff, students, post-graduate scholars, and interns, donating blood as a gesture of service to humanity. This enthusiastic turnout reflected the community’s dedication to such noble causes.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Suman Sharma, Chairperson of Shri Sain Charitable Trust, emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation and urged more people to come forward for such life-saving initiatives.
She expressed her commitment to organizing similar events in the future, aligning with the Trust’s mission to promote health and social welfare. Mrs. Sharma also commended the students and staff members of the Trust’s colleges for their active participation and dedication.
The event was graced by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Ritesh Sharma and Mr. Ravish Sharma, Managing Directors of the Trust, along with the Principals of the associated colleges. The CEOs of the Trust—Dr. Nitin Mahajan, Mrs. Japna Sharma, and Mrs. Jasudha Sharma—also extended their support to the event.
