Country Cricket Club today registered third consecutive win when they beat Stadium XI by six wickets to emerge as leading side in the ongoing under-16 (40-over) League Tournament at Country Cricket Club, Gharota, near here.
Earlier, batting first, Stadium XI could make 101 runs losing all their wickets in 30 overs. Himal remained top scorer with 23 runs while Youvraj Saini contributed 21. From Country Cricket Club, Aakib, Jaidev and Ashim took two wickets each, followed by Agastya, Snoop Bhagat Kanan and Anmol, who shared apiece each.
In reply, Country Cricket Club chased the total losing four wickets. Uday Pratap (22), Shivansh (17) and Akshit (11) as also Rohan Gill (10) were main scorers. Dhruv Parmar and Youvraj Saini claimed two wickets each. Chitej and Dhruv Gupta shared apiece each.
In today’s match, Upender Parmar was special guest. Later, Shivansh was declared man of the match for his excellent wicket keeping and unbeaten 17 runs with bat.
