This significant appointment reflects the Congress leadership’s trust in the abilities and leadership potential of Shri Chib, a dynamic youth leader from Jammu & Kashmir.
Shri Uday Bhanu Chib, a native of the Paloura area in the Jammu North Assembly constituency, has always been dedicated to serving the nation and the people of Jammu & Kashmir. His father, Shri Hari Singh Chib, and mother, Smt. Rajni Bala, have been pillars of support in his journey of public service. Shri Chib holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BE) and an MBA, bringing a diverse educational background to his political career.
Throughout his political journey, Shri Uday Bhanu Chib has held various prestigious positions that have contributed to the growth and strengthening of the Congress party. His political career includes General Secretary, Indian Youth Congress, where he was in charge of Maharashtra and Mumbai; Former State President of J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC); Former National Secretary, NSUI, where he was in charge of Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi; In-charge of Delhi NSUI in 2017, when NSUI secured the President and Vice President positions in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections and Former State President, NSUI J&K.
In addition to his political achievements, Shri Chib has actively contributed to social and cultural causes. He is currently the President of Shastri Judo Club, Jammu, where he plays a vital role in promoting sports and youth development.With his deep-rooted connection to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and his experience in youth leadership across various regions of India, Shri Uday Bhanu Chib is expected to bring fresh energy and vision to the Indian Youth Congress.The Congress Party congratulated Shri Chib on his new role and is confident that he will continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of youth and the nation.
