The National General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress, Uday Bhanu Chib, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great fervor by leading a spectacular Tiranga Rally in Jammu. The rally, marked by the presence of a 100-meter long Tricolour, started from the J&K High Court complex and concluded at Main Chowk Janipur, Jammu.
In his address, Uday Bhanu Chib emphasized the significance of Independence Day as a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters. “Today, as we march with our beloved Tricolour, we honor the legacy of those who fought for our freedom and reaffirm our commitment to uphold the democratic values of our nation,” said Chib. He further highlighted the importance of youth participation in the democratic process and urged the younger generation to take an active role in shaping the future of the country.
Hari Singh Chib, Vice President of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, in his address, underscored the role of the Congress Party in India’s freedom struggle and its continued dedication to the nation’s progress. “The Congress Party has always been at the forefront of India’s journey towards progress and prosperity. As we celebrate our independence, let us remember that it is our responsibility to safeguard the ideals of justice, liberty, and equality,” he stated.
The senior Congress leaders took the opportunity to appeal to the people of the Jammu North Assembly segment to support the Congress Party in the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. They stressed the party’s commitment to addressing the region’s concerns and working towards its holistic development. “Your support is crucial for us to bring about the necessary changes and ensure a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir,” urged the leaders.
Among those who were present at the rally were Som Nath, Surinder Kumar, Ranjodh Singh, Pummy Manhas, Baggi, Bedi, Rushu, Parveen, Boby, Madan Singh Chib, Jungbhadur, Vankul Jamwal, and Tanvir Singh.
