UDHAMPUR, Sept 20:
Jammu and Kashmir Dueball Association (JKDA) showcased the technical aspects of the game and organised matches to celebrate the World Duebal Day at Mini Stadium, here today.
Team from hosts Udhampur district played against the visiting side of Jammu in a men’s exhibition match that took place following the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Government.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur, Swaran Singh was the chief guest, who complimented the Association for observing the day in a unique manner. He congratulated the members of the JKDA for introducing the new game in Udhampur.
Expressing his views after witnessing the game, the District Officer was hopeful of Dueball gaining popularity in UT of J&K.Among others present were Brij Mohan Sharma, Pardeep Gupta, Ashok Kumar,
(general secretary of District Kabaddi Association). President of JKDA, Rohit Khajuria presented vote of thanks and also gave a brief about the game.Prominent among those present were Amit Manhas (president Jammu District Dueball Association). Kumar Gourav (general secretary Jammu District Dueball Association), Deep Kumar (president Poonch District Dueball Association), Ashutosh Sharma (Trustee, Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust), Gourav Sharma, Rohit Badan, Vikas Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Manmeet Singh, Ajit Singh, Pawan Jamwal, Vipin Photra and Sanjeev Kumar (senior).The matches officiated by technical penal comprising Rishi Sharma, Ravi Kumar and Sourav Pandit.
