Jhansi Ki Rani fame Ulka Gupta was recently seen in The Kerala Story 2, which released in cinemas on February 27. The actress has been widely appreciated for her performances ever since her early days on television.In a recent interview with Team Varinder Chawla, Ulka shared an interesting anecdote that also carries a beautiful connection to Smita Patil.Ulka Gupta shared a heartwarming memory from her early days as an actor. While she was shooting for Jhansi Ki Rani, she had to attend a few events and was at the Delhi airport with her mother. There, an elderly couple kept observing her for a while before finally approaching her. The man gently called Ulka over and told her that she looked just like their daughter when she was around 12–13 years old. As Ulka, her mother, and the elderly duo began chatting, the couple mentioned that they were none other than the parents of legendary actress Smita Patil. Ulka then said, “Main 11-12 saal ki thi, and I did not have the exposure to those beautiful films like Bhumika, just Smita Patil movies.”Ulka was last seen in Kerala Story 2 which was directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh. Alongside Ulka, the film also stars Aishwarya Ojha, Aditi Bhatia, Arjan Singh Aujla, and Yuktam Khoslla, among others. The film has been bankrolled by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures.
