JAMMU, Nov 01:
Territory Jammu and Kashmir (UTJK) Karate team today reached Uttrakhand to take part in the 1st North Zone Championship to be held at Maharana Pratap Sports College Dehradoon.
Earlier, the 70-member UT contingent, selected by Amateur Karate do Association of Jammu and Kashmir, underwent screening by the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) at Indoor Complex M A Stadium, here under the guidance of Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh.
Also present were Manager Indoor Complex, Satish Gupta and general secretary of the Association, Ambedkar Gupta as also Shihan, Amit Sangra, Sensei Umesh Rekhi, Sensei Sanjay Tootu and Sensei Poonam Salathia.
The team is accompanied by six officials, Rajan Jamwal, Pooja Sharma, Ajmat Bibi, Sourav Mehra, Charan Singh and Sahil Sambyal .
