Actor Vaani Kapoor recently opened up about the challenges she faced early in her career, revealing that she was rejected due to her skin tone. She also shared her experience of being body shamed for being too skinny, shedding light on the harsh scrutiny many aspiring actors endure.In an interview with News18 Showsha, Vaani Kapoor reflected on a painful moment from the early days of her career, revealing that she was once dropped from a film because she wasn’t “milky white.” Although the remark wasn’t made to her directly, she came to know through others that the filmmaker felt she wasn’t fair enough for the role. She shared, “A filmmaker had once said that I wasn’t fair enough to land a role. He said that I wasn’t ‘milky white’.”The series features an ensemble cast including Surveen Chawla, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Jameel Khan alongside Vaani Kapoor. Mandala Murders is set to premiere on Netflix on July 25.
