Valedictory function of one month training programme on innovative cutting tailoring and embroidery was organised by Women Welfare organisation. The training programme has been sponsored by SIDBI (Small Industrial Bank of India) Forty beneficiaries were selected by Women Welfare Organisation who were belonging to economical weaker section of the society. There were provided trainers to teach them how to take measurements, how to draw drafts, then proper cutting and finally tailoring of the dress material, folding and tailoring as well as hamming of the embroidard materials. Special training in making bags which were embrioded and then stitched properly.
The trainers also taught them various intricaces in creating design and brining neatness in their work. An achievement of confidence has been observed. They have also visited Boutiques where they have been given the knowhow about the system under which a boutique can be established, They were introduced to Balaji creations established by Mrs Ritu a renowned boutique/ fashion studio.
They were also taken to the centre of training for women run by DIC (District Industries Centre) J&K Govt at Jammu HAAT. Where they had interaction about the various schemes of Govt for entrepreneurship. They were also taken for visit to Phulkari embroidery training centre run by Deptt of handloom and Handicraft J&K U.T Jammu.
The Chief guest on this occasion was Anil Sharma (Deputy General Manager (DGM) SIDBI and the guest of honour was Mr. Sanwal Dogra, Senior Manager SIDBI.
The function started with welcome address of the President of Women Welfare Organisation Mrs. Usha Anand gave a detailed account of the training imparted to the beneficiaries. She also showed her gratitude towards the state unit of SIDBI and the officials for considering our NGO worth of performing its duty in undertaking the project of training successfully . she also showed her hope to continue such programmes her hope to continue such programmes in future also.
An exhibition of the products made by the beneficiaries were also displayed on this occasion which were appreciated by the guests as well as the visitors.
The Chief guest Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma appreciated the work done by our N.G.O and advised us to move ahead in imparting further handholding of there ladies for near future so that they can establish themselves as entrepreneur / getting job by associating themselves with boutiques and fashion studios. They should be updated with various schemes of Govt Dept which would prove fruitful to them. He suggested that this centre should act as CSC (Community Service Centre) for further service.
The Guest of Honour Mr. Sanwal Dogra showed his appreciation for the work done by the women welfare Organisation.
The Certificates were also distributed among the beneficiaries by the chief guest and the guest of Honour.
