The Office of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), organized a Felicitation and Success Meet today to honor the remarkable contributions of the Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW), the Deans of various faculties, and the Principals of five constituent colleges in successfully organizing Yuvtarang 2024, the university’s prestigious cultural and literary festival.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sr. Professor K. S. Chandrasekar, extended his heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the DSW team for their unwavering dedication and efforts in making Yuvtarang 2024 a resounding success. The festival, held from November 6 to November 14, 2024, saw vibrant participation from students across 25 unique activities, highlighting their creativity, talent, and competitive spirit.
In his address, Sr. Professor Chandrasekar applauded the collaborative efforts of students and staff from the University’s colleges and PG schools. He noted that the festival not only celebrated talent but also fostered unity and cultural exchange among the diverse student body. The Vice Chancellor further provided insightful suggestions for future editions of Yuvtarang, emphasizing the importance of embedding Dogri cultural heritage more prominently within the festival. Ideas such as introducing Dogri-inspired award names and incorporating traditional elements were proposed to strengthen the event’s cultural resonance with the region. He further added that the University needs to play a lead role to promote the Dogri language as well as Dogri Culture.
In addition to Deans and Principals of various constituent colleges; and other distinguished faculty members, the event was also graced by Ms. Ankur Mahajan (KAS), Registrar, CLUJ and Mr. Nagesh Jamwal, Financial Advisor, CLUJ.
The success meet concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Monika Sharma, Dean, Student Welfare, CLUJ, who reiterated the University’s commitment to enriching Yuvtarang’s legacy and enhancing its inclusivity and cultural relevance in the years ahead.
