Two matches decided today turned out to be really entertaining contests with winning teams had to put in some extra efforts to emerge winners in the ongoing Senior Division Football League of DFA Jammu at GGM Science College ground, here In the first game of the day, Vijay Club faced a tough resistance from Young Rovers before they won the match 4-3. Surprisingly, the high scoring game remained barren in the first half of the play. Shivam (40th) brought in the first blood for Vijay Club and Vjjawal equalised in the 44th.
The remaining 25 minutes of play witnessed five goals scored from both sides. While Vikramjeet Singh, Dushyant and Manmohan netted the ball from Vijay Club, Abhimanyu and Rahl Sharma were goal scorers from other side.
Meanwhile, in another well contested game, Shaheen FC defeated the young side of J&K Bank Academy 1-0. Ashish scored the all important goal in the last 65th minute.
The Technical penal in today’s matches comprised Ricky Kumar, Suresh Gupta, Dil Bahadur, Dheeraj Meenia, Vijay Kumar and Rahul Sharma.
