A mega bhandara was organized on the occasion of Kaal Bhairav Ashtami at Pracheen Bhairav Mandir, Upper Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Jammu on today under the supervision of Pandit Rumil Sharma . The bhandara was started on 9:00 am onwards.
Pt. Rumil Sharma said that since the mega bhandara is held every year to pay obeisance to Kaal Bhairav by holding of week long celebrations in the form of Prabhat Pheris followed by the bhandara. Thousands of devotees from all walks of life participated in the bhandara and sought the blessings of the Almighty. On this occasion, the temple was well decorated with flowers and lights, surroundings of temple were covered under laser lights. The whole market was also decorated with full of lights which looked like a holy place. Businessmen and Traders have also participated and decorated their shops also. Number of stalls were arranged during bhandara and a special stall for children was also erected in the Bhandara, where the children were enjoyed their favourite chocolates, fruities, toffees, jellies and balloons etc.
Many people attending to the function expressed their ignorance of actual perception of Kaal Bhairav which was rectified by Pandit Rumil Sharma that this is the Rudra form of reincarnation of Bhagwan Shiva which holds great spiritual and religious importance in all prayers held in India.
He also informed that Rudra Avtar of Bhagwan Shiva in the form of Kaal Bhairav is blessed by the gods like Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar (Mahadev)
Pt. Rumil Sharma said that this is only the Pracheen Temple of Bhagwan Bhairav Nath in the State.
A day prior to Bhandara, a congregation of different castes (52 Nos.) held at the temple premises which was also a big occasion.
He said that no pooja is complete without paying obeisance to Kaal Bhairav who resides in Bhrikuti (Eyebows) of Bhagwan Shiva and is equally important as Bhagwan Ganesha who is offered obeisance before the start of any payer”.
In the end, Pt. Rumil Sharma thanked the people of Jammu, Businessmen, Traders Association for their full cooperation and its management committee to organize this mega bhandara.
