Vivo Nex gets a price cut of Rs 5,000 in India

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has reduced the price of its flagship smartphone — Vivo Nex — in India by Rs 5,000. Launched at Rs 44,990, the handset can now be purchased at Rs 39,990.

The new price is already reflecting on Amazon India website along with fresh offers for buyers for additional benefits. Buyers can get a discount of Rs 21,000 on purchase of the Vivo Nex smartphone, if they give a smartphone in exchange. There is a 10% instant discount for Yes Bank credit card users on EMI purchase. For HDFC customers, there is a 5% instant discount for credit card holders and a 10% instant discount for debit card holders. No cost EMI is available for on Bajaj Finserv EMI cards as well as on all major credit cards and select debit cards. Lastly, buyers can get extra Rs 5,000 off on exchange while buying from the seller Appario Retail Pvt Ltd. Vivo Nex specifications
Vivo Nex sports a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display without a notch. The screen packs FHD+ (1080×2316 pixels) resolution and boasts of a 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. It features 19.3:9 aspect ratio with an on-screen fingerprint display.
Vivo Nex runs on FunTouch OS v4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, complemented by an 8GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. As for the camera, the smartphone packs a retractable front-facing camera setup that has an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. At the back, there is a 12MP+5MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and f/2.4 aperture.
Backed by a 4000mAh battery, the handset supports ‘dual-engine’ fast charging tech via a Type-C port.
Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition coming to India?
Back in December, the company had launched the successor of the Vivo Nex — Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition — in China. It is likely that the company is planning to launch the latest Nex smartphone in India soon and has therefore announced the price cut. As the name suggests the handset comes with two screens — on both front and back, which is the USP of the device. As of now, Vivo has only announced the China price and availability for the Nex Dual Display Edition. It will go on sale starting December 29 at 4,998 yuan (approximately Rs 52,000).
