Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has finally launched its latest flagship smartphone Vivo X21 in India. This is the first smartphone of the company to come with in-display fingerprint sensor smartphone in the country.
Price and availability
The company has priced the Vivo X21 at Rs 35,990 and it will come in Gold colour option. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting today. As part of the launch offers, the e-tailer is giving extra Rs 3,000 off on the regular exchange value and 5% cashback to SBI credit card holders. Along with this, there will also be no cost EMI option on all credit cards.
Specifications
The Vivo X21 features a iPhone X-like notch display. The smartphone comes with a 6.28-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2280 pixels resolution.
The handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system topped with the company’s own layer of customisation — FunTouch OS. The company also confirmed that the Vivo X21 will receive Android P update as well. The smartphone is also eligible for the beta developer preview of Android P which was released by Google at its annual developers conference Google I/O 2018.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The main highlight of the smartphone its fingerprint sensor is placed inside the display. Users have to set the fingerprint by tapping on the display and then touch it slightly to unlock the device. The fingerprint sensor is placed beneath the display and the light from your fingerprint passes through the display and reaches the sensor which helps in unlocking the device. The company has also tailormade the screen protector so that the user experience doesn’t get hampered.
The company claims that the smartphone comes with HiFi music chipset which promises to offer an enhaced music experience. Along with this, the company is also offering special pair of headphones with the smartphone which also offers an loud and clear audio experience.
The Vivo X21 comes with a dual rear camera setup. The device houses a 12MP+5MP rear camera with LED flash. The front packs a 12MP selfie shooter which helps in capturing selfies and also unlocking the smartphone. Measuring 154.5×74.8×7.4mm, the smartphone packs a 3200mAh battery with fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG support
