POONCH, May 01:
Annual inter-school competitions of Mandi and Sathra zones in district Poonch got underway at Boys Higher Secondary School, Mandi in different age groups under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
The competition declared open by Principal of the host school, Rashpal Singh, who was chief guest. Veerta Devi (ZPEO Mandi) and Sarla Bakshi (Incharge ZPEO Sathra) introduced the participating teams with the chief guest.
Among others present were Rajinder Prasad (Lecturer), Rajinder Singh, Lovinder Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Sukhbir Singh, Sushma Sharma, Narinder Singh (all PEMs), Harmik Singh, Shabir Shamhoon Haq, Jatinder Paul, Vikas Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Chamkoor Singh, Rajnish and Maini Shabir.
Today’s matches officiated by the technical penal including Manjeet Singh (PEM), Jatinder Paul, Vikas, Harmik Singh and Sunil Raina (all PETs).

SATHRA ZONE: BOYS Under-17: Semifinals: Boys HS Sathra bt HS Biala 3-1; HS Fatehpur bt HS Saloonia 3-0. Under-14: High School Sathra bt High School Fatehpur 3-2 in final. GIRLS: Under-14: GMS Kulani bt High School Sathra 3-1.
MANDI ZONE: BOYS Under-17: Higher Secondary School Mandi bt HSS Arai 3-2 in final.
Semifinals: HSS Arai bt HSS Sawjian 3-0; HSS Mandi bt HSS Loran 3-2. Under-14: High School Sathra bt High School Fatehpur 3-2. GIRLS: Under-14: GMS Kulani bt HS Sathra 3-1.
