Vomedh Acting Academy, a sister concern of Vomedh Rangmanch today announced launching of Acting classes where top Bollywood Actor, Director Lalit Parimooo will be holding special classes to train the youth of Jammu .
Announcing the launch of acting classes Director Vomedh Rohit Bhat said that it was the brain child of the mentor of the Vomedh Rangmanch Rakesh Roshan Bhat who has conceived the concept to train the youth of Jammu and Kashmir about the intricacies of acting for which acting guru Acharya Lalit Parimoo has agreed to impart training to youth in Jammu itself.
The announcement was made during a function organised to distribute the participation certificates among the young and budding actors who had attended the recently held special acting workshop with Lalit Parimoo during the first ever International Film Festival in Jammu.
The function was attended by a number of aspiring youth who want to venture into the field of acting besides well known social personalities of the state.
The function was presided over by Thakur Raghubir Singh, IPS who was the chief guest while President all State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) Ravinder Raina and its Gen Secy Dr TK Bhat and veteran Theatre director Mushtq Kak were the guests of honour.
More than fifty people were awarded certificates by the dignitaries who lauded the role of Vomedh and Bhat brothers in popularising theatre and films in the region and had organised the successful international Film Festival in Jammu recently.
Prominent child artists of the state Ishu Bharati Pandit and Kosar Chandpuri were also given certificates on the occasion.
Others who spoke on the occasion besides the guest of honour include King C Bharati, senior journalist, social activist and actor, Aryan Ramesh social activist, Sunny Mujjoo senior actor and Bharati Koul.
Speaking on the occasion Rohit Bhat said that youngsters should come forward and enrol themselves with Vomedh for the forthcoming acting classes with Lalit Parimoo adding it was a life time opportunity for the Jammu youth to learn the art from the acting guru who will be imparting training in Jammu itself.
He said earlier our youth had to go to far off places like Mumbai, Delhi etc to learn acting and it was for the first time that such classes were being organised in Jammu to facilitate Jammu youth to get international level training at home. Prominent theatre groups of Jammu participated in the function which includes teams of Ravinder Sharma, Abhishek Bharati and Shazi Khan who were also given certificates on the occasion.
