While appealing to the people of Jammu, province that in all future elections -be these to the legislative assembly, to the parliament or for that matter to the urban local bodies ,or to the panchayats ,the voter must reject the traditional politicians ,who have made the elections as their profession rather than a means to serve the people said Abhinav Sharma while addressing a press conference, here today. Sharma further stated that they instead of becoming servants of the people have become their masters. The little development made on the ground during the last seventy years in Jammu division is testimony ,to the fact that these professional and traditional politicians have little concern and care for the common dogras, their culture,language and traditions, he added. Sharma said that the job of these traditional politician remains confined to inauguration of black-topping of roads, inauguration of showrooms and transformers ,rather than making laws for the benefit of the common man.
Because of their remaining averse to taking part in law making ,there is at present, no employment policy, no traffic management ,no improvement in educational system, he added.
He further stated that on educational front, there is no degree college and the students have to traverse for three hours all the way from Marh to Mishriwala .On health front ,no sub-divisional hospitals in the entire constituency and the people have to content themselves with one public health centre, where doctor is rarely available ;on other fronts, no irrigation facility, erratic and often not available electric power, no roads connectivity to the villages, and the only road in use is broken and full of pits and ditches, he added.
