VRS Union Jammu stages protest demonstration

A protest demonstration was organized today at Press Club Exhibition ground Jammu under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali President of VRS Union Jammu. Protestors criticized the attitude of the State Administration and J&K Higher Authorities and alleged that both are in connivance with each other and bent upon to harass the VRS/GHS employees, as the VRS Employees are struggling for the last more than 8 years for their 50% balance payments of their legitimate dues for cost of living allowance (COLA) arrears, bill of which comes to Rs 16, 76, 49, 497.00 and 6th pay commission arrears and bonus @8.33% and Govt. order No. 103-F of 2013 dates 10.04.2013. and VRS employees are not understanding that why their tour balance dues are not being released where all the documents (bills) are complete in all respects are laying pending in the office of the Finance Deptt Civil Secretariat Jammu, and in this long struggle 39 VRS/GHS employees have breathed their last as they could not afford good medical treatment for want of funds.
They further appealed to the Advisor (Transport Deptt) to His Excellency, the Governor J&K State to put their case in the forth coming board of Directors meeting so they may also get justice as they are already suffering badly.
