VRS Union stages protest; highlights demands

A protest demonstration was today held at exhibition ground in Jammu under the leadership of Sh.Dev Raj Bali president VRS union. In the said demonstration, protesters criticized the behavior of the transport high authority and SRTC management against VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC employees towards releasing the legitimate dues of 6th pay commission arrears and cost of living allowance (COLA) arrears since 1999 and pension benefits which comes to total amount of RS.16,76, 49, 497.00 of 742 VRS/ GHS employees of J&K SRTC.
They further stated that they have been struggling for the last more than 8 years for their legitimate dues whereas J&K higher authorities and J&K SRTC management have been harassing the VRS/GHS employees of the J&K SRTC.
They further said that it is strange to note here that they have been given the assurances in the regime of coalition Govt. till date and nothing has been done so far they further warned if their demands shall not be considered before the Durbar move from Srinagar to Jammu they will march towards the secretariat Ghareo on 5th Nov .2018.
They further appealed to Governor to intervene in this matter so that they might heave a sigh of relief.
