WhatsApp New Features: Here’s All You Need to Know

New Delhi, Jan 27 : Instant messaging service WhatsApp is set to introduce a host of new features such as Fingerprint Lock, Audio Picker and 3D Touch Action for Status in the upcoming week. The Facebook-owned messaging service brings in updates and new features every month. This month’s features are designed to suit the needs and requirements of various people from students to professionals to homemakers.
Following are some of the new features that WhatsApp is set to introduce:
1) Show In Chat option:
Through the Show in chat option, users can easily access the image shared for the first time in WhatsApp chat. With this option, which will be available in the chat box, users can easily rotate an image left or right.
2) WhatsApp Fingerprint Lock feature:
Through the upcoming WhatsApp Fingerprint Lock feature, users can lock the entire app. The fingerprint authentication is similar to the fingerprint lock option available in Android and iOs smartphones.
3) WhatsApp New Audio Picker:
The WhatsApp New Audio Picker lets the user send a maximum of 30 audio files at one go. Users can also listen to the audio they wish to send. Moreover, WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.1 version lets users view all the downloaded audio files in the phone.
4) Reply Privately:
Reply Privately feature lets the users reply to a person privately on the WhatsApp group chat. This feature is available in the Android phones. Soon iOs users will also get this feature after the beta testing is done.
5) 3D Touch Action for Status:
Through the 3D Touch Action for Status, users can look at their WhatsApp contact’s status without them knowing that you have seen it. The feature which is currently present in iPhone for beta users, will soon be rolled out soon for the end users.
6) Stickers Integration: Through this feature, users can share stickers on WhatsApp using a third-party app. Another new keyboard that will be introduced is GBoard.
Meanwhile, in a move to let users message across platforms, Facebook is currently working towards integrating its chat services which includes WhatsApp, Messenger, and photo-sharing app Instagram.
