Huma Qureshi, popular for her powerful performances in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Dedh Ishqiya and Badlapur, recently shared insights about her career in the film industry. She revealed that she turned down a two-lead film due to inadequate pay and concerns over her co-actor’s lack of experience. Huma also stressed that while social media popularity might make someone a household name, it doesn’t necessarily translate into a strong audience for a film or show. Without taking the names, the actress during a conversation with India Today said, “I was given a role in a film with two leads. I declined since the other actor, while well-known, lacked the same amount of experience on streaming as I do.”The Jolly LLB 2 actress further explained that at this stage in her career, she refuses to make compromises. Despite the makers assuring her that the film featured two lead roles, Huma Qureshi stood firm on her expectations for higher remuneration, given her experience. When an agreement couldn’t be reached, she ultimately decided to walk away from the project.
